In our hotels, all of our sanitary equipment has low-consumption systems and aerators that help reduce the flow rate. In addition, to maximize water savings, rooms are only cleaned when requested by our guests. A simple way to save water and energy without compromising comfort. --- #### Smart Energy, Efficient Comfort Did you know we use sensors in windows that automatically turn off the air conditioning when opened, ensuring energy is used only when necessary, and we use motion sensors to ensure lights only come on when people are present, avoiding energy waste? After all, every watt counts! In our hotels, we're committed to energy efficiency! All our lighting is LED, which not only provides light but also saves energy. To help you control your consumption during your stay, we provide master switches in the rooms. And we don't stop there: lighting in circulation areas is activated by motion, and electrical appliances in the dining room are turned off after 12 p.m. The entrance doors are kept closed when the air conditioning is on, ensuring energy conservation while simultaneously providing you with the ideal temperature inside our hotel. --- #### Explore Sustainably Explore the city in a fun and eco-friendly way with JUST MOVE! We have a free bike service available so you can ride around and discover the local charms in a sustainable and healthy way. Every bike ride is a step towards a more sustainable future. --- #### Recycling Has Never Been So Easy Recycling is a fundamental part of our operation and that is why we have implemented Selective Collection Centres in the main key areas of each hotel to ensure that all waste is correctly separated. [Discover](/en/certifications) --- ### Commitment to Financial Sustainability #### Sustainability-Linked Financing Framework In line with our ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy and to reinforce our commitment to sustainable financing practices, Stay Hotels developed a Sustainability-Linked Financing Framework in 2025. This framework establishes Sustainable Performance Targets (SPTs), namely: - Contract 100% electricity from renewable sources by 2030; - Increase the waste recovery rate to 65% by 2030. The Framework was developed in accordance with the ICMA (International Capital Markets Association) Principles for Sustainability-Linked Bond Principles and allows Stay Hotels to issue sustainable financial instruments, the conditions of which may vary depending on compliance with the defined sustainability objectives. #### Second Party Opinion Our approach was evaluated by Ethifinance, a third-party expert, which issued a Second Party Opinion (SPO) on our Framework. The key findings were: - The Framework is aligned with ICMA principles, including criteria for selecting indicators (KPIs), targets (SPTs), instrument characteristics, reporting and verification; - The chosen KPIs are relevant to the hotel sector and reflect the company's commitment to transitioning to more sustainable practices; With this step, Stay Hotels affirms its commitment to aligning its financing policy with environmental and social objectives, promoting a more responsible and transparent operation.
